“I am in private practice and partnered with Seattle Christian Counseling (SCC).  My husband, a Certified Pastoral Counselor, and I offer couples counseling together. Being partnered with SCC has increased my impact on this military community, allowing me to provide spiritual and clinical services.

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology, my Master of Science in Psychology, and my PsyD in Clinical Psychology at Albizu University. Besides the clinical training, Albizu offered multicultural educational opportunities to increase my ability to work with various populations.  This prepared me to be a qualified clinician and embrace a new life when I married my retired Marine husband. I always had a heart for veterans, and in 2018, I was hired to work in Washington state with children of active duty service members.

Shortly after arriving in Washington, I suffered a spinal cord injury that slowly caused paralysis.  I could recover thanks to the highly skilled neurosurgeons in the military and my husband. However, chronic pain is an ongoing issue. The resiliency I perfected during my time at Albizu late evening classes after a full day of work has inspired numerous patients from the civilian and military worlds with various clinical presentations.  My patients regularly tell me that they feel I can empathize with them, but I don’t coddle them, which makes them want to reach their therapeutic goals. I am a member of the National Board of Counselors (NCC) and a Board Certified Professional Christian Counselor (BCPCC) through the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC). I have clinical and assessment training with patients presenting a broad range of mental disorders, addictions, and medical conditions. I have gained a wealth of experience treating patients with anxiety, depression, individual counseling, women’s issues, psychological testing, weight issues, abandonment and neglect, anger management, relationship issues, sexual abuse, trauma, and post-traumatic stress disorder, among others.”
